Our processes are designed to foster growth while maintaining transparency and timeliness. By aligning ourselves with these characteristics, we ensure quality shipments for our clients.

The Asia-Pacific region is witnessing a steady increase in the demand for corn, particularly in countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. As a staple in animal feed due to its high protein content and digestibility, countries in the Asia-Pacific are looking to India to fulfil their growing demand. India is emerging as a powerhouse for this nutrient-rich and cost-effective commodity.

Recently, Torq Commodities undertook a significant corn shipment from Malkapur in Maharashtra to Vietnam. Known for its fertile fields, the city plays a vital role in supplying high-quality corn to the rest of the world.

Here’s how it went.

Upon our arrival at the Malkapur warehouse, our team partnered with Cotecna Inspection, a renowned quality inspection agency, to inspect and rigorously test the corn to ensure that it met the relevant quality criteria. After confirming that the corn met the quality criteria, bags of corn were loaded onto trucks bound for Malkapur Railway Station.

After arriving at the station, comprehensive quality checks were conducted on samples to ensure adherence to the relevant quality standards. The wagons were thoroughly cleaned and lined with polyethylene sheets to prevent contamination. Once the checks were complete, the bags of corn were loaded onto the rakes.

Once the loading process was complete, the rakes embarked on their journey to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Mumbai.

At JNPT, the corn bags were carefully loaded into containers to minimize spillage and preserve the quality. The containers were covered with craft paper to provide additional protection. The loading path was also covered to collect any spillage and reduce weight loss.

Furthermore, the containers were sealed with plastic sheets to prevent moisture ingress caused by weather changes during the sea journey to Vietnam. Although it incurred additional costs, this measure was necessary to maintain the integrity of the commodity.

Before the voyage, the containers were meticulously fumigated to prevent any infestations during the journey.

Finally, the shipment successfully reached Vietnam without compromising the quality of the consigned corn and within a record time frame!

By creating seamless supply chains, we continue to play our role in connecting the global corn market with the fields of Malkapur, Maharashtra. Backed by our global network and on-ground expertise, Torq Commodities is poised to simplify and strengthen global trade by delivering responsibly sourced commodities worldwide sponsored.
